Maninjau Lake is one of the lakes in Indonesia which has multifunctions. One of the functions is as a place for fishing business, namely Floating Net Cages (KJA). In Agam District Regulation No. 5 of 2014 concerning the sustainable management of the Maninjau Lake area, there are regulations regarding the development of KJA, both the ideal number and KJA zoning regulations, as well as licensing issues for KJA business. According to the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DKP), the regional regulation has not been implemented as there still many farmers undertake the KJA business outside of the zoning limit. The number of KJA found in Maninjau Lake has also far exceeded the ideal number of KJA, and the licensing to do the KJA business has not yet been implemented. Monitoring of KJA development is still carried out by surveys that are sometimes invalid. So, to know the information on KJA is not accurate and not up to date. Therefore, a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) is needed to verify and manage KJA on Maninjau Lake. This GIS application is built using the waterfall method, which consists of stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The testing of application uses the black box testing method. The results of the tests conducted by five examiners show that the web-based GIS application for verification and management of KJA in Maninjau Lake is in accordance with the functional requirements of the designed system.
