This paper proposes a modified multiloop control strategy in stationary reference frame for the control of single phase multilevel converter in standalone mode. A new feedback method is proposed for the current control loop. The weighted sum of the filter inductor current and capacitor current is taken as the feedback to the inner current controller. Using this current measurement, a voltage control strategy using multiresonant voltage controllers is used to compensate for nonlinear loads. A cascaded H bridge multilevel converter is used for interfacing energy sources to load. Simulation and experimental results from a laboratory scale prototype is demonstrated to assess the performance of the suggested control scheme.
