Performance prospects of compact silicon microring-based electro-optic modulator for analog optical links

摘要

We propose ultra-small silicon microring-based analog electro-optic modulators, which exhibit a better SFDR by 5-dB and higher modulation-index compared to MZMs. Third-harmonic-distortion is reduced by 10-dB in fiber transmission.
