Microgravity environment of sts-57 and summary comparison with selected previous missions

The first SPACEHAB laboratory module was flow from June 23, 1993 to July 1, 1993 on the shuttle Endeaour as a primary payload for the STS-57 mission. Integrated into this middeck augmentation carrier was the Space Acceleration Measurement System (SAMS). This mission also featured the retrieval of the European Retrievable Carrier (EURECA). This mission was an opportunity to compare the acceleration environment of the SPACEHAB module with that of the spacelab module.
