The transient performance of the solid-state VAR compensator usingvoltage source inverter (self-controlled DC bus) is studied in thispaper, when the system is transferred from full leading compensation tofull lagging compensation and vice-versa according to the loadrequirements to achieve both leading and lagging compensation.
