A novel method to cope with appearing and disappearing points forthe projective registration of free-form surfaces

We present a novel algorithm to cope with appearing anddisappearing points for the projective registration of free-formsurfaces. The novel method combines the ICP algorithm with FOE theoryfor the effective elimination of false matches. Experimental resultsbased on both synthetic data and real images show that the proposedalgorithm is accurate and robust
