The surface charge densities and associated capacitances of ashielded twisted pair transmission line are found for quasi staticconditions, under balanced and longitudinal excitations. The unknowncharge density is expanded in a Fourier series. The series is used asbasis functions for a method of moments solution to find the unknownseries coefficients. This paper describes the geometric structure andthe formation of the integral equation that describes the potentialdistribution as a function of the unknown charge densities. Thesimplifying approximations made are pointed out, as well as thelimitations to the solution caused by the approximations
