A 3D environment for conformal radiotherapy treatment planning isdescribed. It incorporates sculpting tools for creating ICRU-50 targetvolumes and organs, space variant modelling, and auto-stereoscopicdisplay (ASD) for interrogation of nested volumes embedded in aradiation dose field. ASD simplifies clinical appreciation of thecritical 3D effects of treatments. It is particularly cost-effectivegiven the launch of mass-market PCs equipped with ASD capability
