This paper describes a method of measuring distance and angle by dispersive interferometer using a femtosecond pulselaser. The measurement system is set up based on the modified Michelson interferometer, which combines the advantagesof using retroreflector and plane-mirror reflector. The two parallel measured beams and one reference beam can undergoa mutual interference in frequency domain. The three shutters are set to two measure arms and reference arm, respectively.the shutters can be used to change the work mode of interference system. The optical path difference of distance and anglecan be acquired by the modulated frequency of interference signal. Angle measurement has been compared to a calibratedrotation stage in the range of 1800 arcsec, the obtained mutual agreement is better than 3 arcsec in ordinary laboratoryconditions. The results show the method has the potential for further research of absolute multiple degree-of-freedommeasurements.
