Since its beginnings, AMSAT has always had an interest in educational programs. Throughout the years we have seen how many of these activities have started. Good examples are, of course, the University of Surrey, the University of Marburg, Weber State College and others.The National Autonomus University of Mexico (UNAM) had a space group that had been working for some time. One of the activities of this group was to build a GAS-CAN with a set of good scientific experiments on it. For reasons we all know, the GAS is still at the Cape and has not flown yet, naturally having caused a certain amount of frustration.
