AMSAT Eagle – Building a Mission for Education

In order to be able to afford the launch of AMSAT-Eagle we need to excite potent ial fundingsources. This paper wil l examine how Eagle could drive the excit ing potential for the future ofAmateur Radio in space and educat ion. A geostat ionary Amateur Radio satell ite would giveeducators an out of this world opportunity to bring space communicat ions into the classroom.Funding by an organizat ion support ing an educat ional mission would also enable the AmateurRadio communicat ions capabil ity sought by AMSAT members.
