Offshore floating liquefied natural gas facility (FLNG) is one of the important facilities for developing deepwater gas fields. It is very important that FLNG liquefaction process is suitable for the offshore environment in South China Sea. This paper, taking a deepwater gas field in the South China Sea as the research object, based on propane pre-cooling and dual nitrogen expansion liquefaction process, compares and analyzes the enlargement of a small-scale experimental facility, a pilot plant and a target actual gas field. Through the sensitivity analysis of amplification of FLNG liquefaction process system with three different natural gas scales, it is considered that with the scale-up, liquefaction process flow is more optimized, equipment selection is more reasonable, specific power consumption is gradually reduced, the influence of feed gas flow rate, temperature and pressure on power consumption is gradually reduced, and the adaptability to feed gas is stronger, and the sensitivity will decrease. Through the magnification analysis, it is considered that the experimental rules obtained by FLNG small-scale and pilot plant simulation can be extended to target gas field. It is proved that propane pre-cooling and dual nitrogen expansion liquefaction process has good offshore adaptability for target gas field.
