摘要

In this paper, to reveal the influence of different turbulence models oncavitation dynamics of a hydrofoil, we take NACA0015 geometry as anexample, the Shear Stress Transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model andLarge Eddy Simulation (LES) method are utilized to simulate thecavitation inception and evolution process, respectively. The Schnerr-Sauer cavitation model is adopted to model the phase change from waterto vapor. Flow field under different cavitation numbers and differentturbulence models is achieved, and volume of vapor, velocity contour isanalyzed in detail. It shows that compared with the RANS method, theLES method can simulate more flow field details. In addition, thecavitation is more violent under the small cavitation number.
