A Hybrid Pile Foundation Application to Subsea PLEM for CALM System in Super Soft Clay

摘要

The subsea PLEM were connected with two flexible risers of “ChineseLantern” configuration in CALM Buoy System. A hybrid pilefoundation were applied as the super soft clay soil condition. This paperpresents the process from preliminary foundation proposal, designphase to pile subsea installation in Brunei. Taking into account theeffects of CAPEX and installability, an innovative pile-sleeveconnection were used instead of traditional methods.
