Herein we present a proof-of concept study of 2-D plasmonic nanoparticles layering strategy. Our approach is based onpolyvinylpyridine activation of the substrate surfaces followed by centrifuge-based sedimentation of nanoparticles. Thedeveloped platform is rather simple, reusable, and non-toxic for adherent cells, which can be realized for multiple-typesplasmonic particles of tunable surface density and used for various biomedical applications, such as cell optoporation,bioimaging, SERS etc.
