Multi-exposure image fusion is a method for producing an image with a wide dynamic range by fusing multipleimages taken under various exposure values. In this paper, we point out two issues regarding color distortionincluded in fused images, that conventional fusion methods have not considered, and a novel multi-exposurefusion method is proposed to improve the issues. The first issue is that multiple images taken in the same scenehave different colors. The second is that the color of fused images is not the same as those of the input images dueto the inuence of fusion functions. The proposed method enables us to preserve the hue of input images, calledpure-color, while maintaining the wide dynamic ranges produced by conventional fusion methods. In addition, the proposed method can be applied to any existing fusion methods to improve the quality of images producedby the fusion methods.
