Recent Innovations on Cold Axial Die Compaction Technologies

The PM industry is on a constant search for more complex, more accurate, price-competitive shapes.Through continuous developments on process technology and production equipment, cold axial diecompacting remains a competitive forming method against other approaches, such as injectionmoulding or additive manufacturing. The use of high-accurate, high-efficient alternatives to traditionalhydraulic units, more compact equipment with lower installation and operative costs, radial compactingand split-die systems, forming of threads and helical profiles are some of the most relevantinnovations.
