An implementation of a human interface using a touch panel andvisual images for controlling a vehicle

We proposed a new human interface system, for controlling a mobilerobot. In this interface, a human operator can indicate the vehicle pathon the image of front of view of the vehicle, by touching the panel onthe display monitor. It is expected that this method makes operation ofthe mobile robot or vehicle easier. We are implementing this interfaceon our mobile robot to evaluate it.
