An automatic process control method has been developed for intakemeasurements in a low-speed wind tunnel. Three computers were used assupervisors for process control and data acquisition. They wereconnected via a local area network. In the low-speed range the inletflows into the model were simulated by sucking air through the intakes.To calculate the Mach number in the compressor entrance plane it isnecessary to measure the total pressure distribution and the mass flowusing for the latter standardized nozzles in the piping system. The massflows were adjusted by remote-controlled regulating valves. The designedcontrol systems demonstrate that automation increases the efficiency ofthe wind tunnel measurement technique
