Developments made at the Institute of Jet Propulsion andTurbomachinery of the Technical University of Aachen on the topic ofminiaturized multihole pressure probes to be utilized in transonicturbine flows are presented. The main emphasis is on the numericaldescription of the flow around the probe head. A very efficient tool,the panel method, was used to calculate the pressure distribution on thesurface. By the aid of this method the design process of a pneumaticmultihole pressure probe can be supported. The influence of somegeometry variations on the flow around the probe head is investigated,and the probe coefficients are presented and discussed
