A new method of state machine controller design and implementationusing programmable logic devices for industrial applications

The design process of the state machine controller using PLDs(programmable logic devices) for industrial applications is shown, andan example is provided. In this example, the authors started with thelogical concept of the controller and synthesized the controller onto asingle chip. This new trend of sequential digital circuit design andfabrication is quickly replacing the conventional error-prone methods
