Hardware platforms for teaching C, to engineering technologystudents

The authors examine how the C language can be taught using thedifferent hardware platforms that are presently available in currenttechnology programs. It is noted that it is easy to recognize the needfor a new language, but it is often difficult to implement a newlanguage if current hardware does not support the language. The cost ofnew equipment should not be a factor in adding C language to anengineering technology program. Since C is a highly portable language,it is generally possible to adapt current hardware to teaching C withonly a few limitations
