This paper presents a new PWM current control method of a shuntcurrent source active power filter which makes it possible to eliminatethe harmonics produced by a three-phase rectifier. The proposed controlstrategy, which is based on the frequency domain approach, isappropriate for a six-switch current source inverter rather than thefifteen switches topology that has been proposed in the literature. Thealgorithm used to generate the PWM pattern functions of the currentsource active power filter is presented. To show the effectiveness ofthe proposed PWM current control method, computer simulations usingMatlab/Simulink/Power System Blockset are presented
