Study and reliability analysis on testing instrument for dynamiccontact resistance on contact

In this paper, a new testing instrument for dynamic contactresistance of low capacity contacts is introduced in detail. By means ofthis testing instrument, we carried out a series of experiments. Inearly experiments, we tested several types of industrial control relaysunder different temperatures and operation times, and accumulated agreat deal of experimental data. By statistical analysis of the testdata, we drew some qualitative conclusions. Further experiments andreliability analyses are ongoing. A mathematical model of the contactresistance of electrical apparatus contacts and its dynamic changingprinciple are preliminarily discussed
