摘要

In this paper Thyristor controlled resistive brake and static reactive power compensator are modeled and coordinated for the small signal stability investigation. The Modification of Phillips-Heffron SMIB model for small signal stability study will be presented to accommodate reactive power injection. The controllers tested with SMIB system will also be employed to multimachine environment. The performance of the systems studied is based on minimum integral squared error. The results presented in this paper indicate the effectiveness of these controllers in small signal stability enhancement.
