Summary form only given. Pointers to structures are a powerful software tool for implementing algorithms. Pointing limbs and foveating eyes are important for focal sensory processing in the brain and for motor interaction with the external world. Hahnloser et al. have recently developed a simple neuronal pointer architecture that can express these properties.
