Simulation of Induced Voltages Created by HighTension Cable with Cross-Linked Polyethylene Insulation

摘要

The purpose of the research described in this article was to develop computer technology that ensures simulation of electromagnetic interference from high-voltage cables with molecular cross-linked polyethylene insulation on adjacent electric power transmission and communication lines. This technology is based on the method of simulating multi-wire systems using lattice circuits, which allows considering interconnected systems of cable and overhead lines, and also taking into account proximity effects by integration of multi-wire systems into a single model for calculation of modes in phase coordinates. The main idea of the method consists in replacing massive conductors with a set of thin wires; herewith, the resulting current of the set is equal to the current flowing in the massive conductor. The proposed computer simulation technology is applicable for calculation of electromagnetic interference from high-voltage cables in asymmetric modes caused by short circuits and disconnections of live parts of one of the phases. This work was financially supported by the grant "Improving the quality of electric energy and electromagnetic safety in railway power supply systems equipped with Smart Grid devices by applying methods and means of mathematical modeling based on phase coordinates".
