The increasing demand for electrical power and environmental concerns are the main reasons for the integration of Distributed Generation (DG) into the electrical Distribution Networks (DN). Load Flow Analysis plays an important role in considering the future development of the power system and for the optimal operation of the existing power system. The uncertainty and unbalanced nature of DG sources require unbalanced load flow studies to analyse the integrated DG distribution network. Voltage profile improvement, reduction of voltage unbalance and losses using DG sources like intermittent Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) in a three-phase unbalanced distribution system are the main focus in this paper. The paper presents uncertainties associated with the intermittent generation of SPV with the variable Commercial load demands for 24 hours. The uncertainty with the solar irradiance, the randomness of SPV is obtained by beta probability density functions. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated with IEEE 13 unbalanced test feeder and the performance improvements are analysed.
