In this work, we studied the effectiveness of using spontaneous and resonant Raman spectroscopy of blood plasma of patients as an express diagnosis of preeclampsia. As the resonant wavelength, radiation with a wavelength of 532 nm was chosen, which is characteristic of the excitation of a signal of carotenoids. It was found that the contribution of certain types of carotenoids (β – carotene, astaxanthin, mixoxanthophyll, lycopene, deinoxanthin, spirilloxanthin, neoxanthin, fucoxanthin) significantly changes during the development of the disease and it was noted that the total concentration of all types of carotenoids in blood plasma is normally significantly higher than with preeclampsia.
