Environment Based IoT Security Risks and Vulnerabilities Management

In this paper, we will discuss internet of things (IoT) security risks and vulnerabilities management. Starting off with the introduction, it shows the recent development of the Internet, and how it changed our life in many, unexpected ways, and how it gave birth to IoT. The background section is mainly about making the reader ready for literature review by giving a brief history of IoT, some technical details regarding security protocols, and hardware challenges in IoT. The literature review chapter is where we review related literatures about relevant topics. It begins by explaining some of the vulnerabilities and risks of IoT devices, then reviewing frameworks regarding risk management in both information technology and information security. After literature review comes analysis and discussion chapter, in which we will discuss the given information in literature review chapter and analyse them. Next, we propose a new approach for risk management that is specifically tailored for each IoT device. Then, we will evaluate the proposed work by listing some of its strengths. The final chapter is conclusion and future work. It is where we conclude this paper and set the path for upcoming research.
