This paper designs a scheduling algorithm for the edge nodes of satellite optical burst switches (OBS). Based on the combination of time and length hybrid thresholds, and priority control, it can meet the requirements of quality of service (QoS) in the current network. The hybrid threshold scheduling algorithm which is combined with multiple priorities is presented in this paper. And it can improve switching performance compared to a single threshold algorithm. This design is implemented on a Xilinx's xc7vx690tffg1927-2 FPGA, which is the main part of the satellite OBS edge node. The scheduler is realized with Verilog HDL, simulated with ModelSim SE 10.6d, and typical simulation results are presented.
