Today, supplying the electrical energy need of residential loads with renewable energy sources has started to be used widely. In this study, a feasibility study is carried out to supply the electricity need of solar and wind renewable energy sources of a site with 100 villa type houses in Urla district of Izmir province. It is shown that the system size changes according to the control strategies included in the HOMER program, and also the costs change according to the mentioned strategies. As a result of the analysis, it has been revealed that the 100 kW wind turbine and 159 kW solar panel off-grid hybrid renewable energy systems can supply the electrical energy requirement of the site, which is the subject of study with a 0.256 $/kWh energy cost. In the proposed system, the control strategy called Cycle Charge (CC) has been shown to yield more economic results in terms of both energy cost and initial investment cost.
