Placement of alphabets in any keyboard layout requires extensive analysis on several key features of that specific language. Vocabulary size, the correlation between alphabets and punctuation marks, user group based on cultural diversity and many other issues often make the layout optimization method extremely challenging. And when it comes to generalizing the solution for a user group who need to access buttons via feet due to physical disability, additional parameters like assuring minimum movement and analyzing letter frequency chart while placing keys needs to be considered with utmost precision. In this paper, we propose a keyboard layout for Bengali language-speaking physically handicapped group with a vision to assist them in achieving maximum typing speed with less typing error occurrence.
