This paper presents the dynamic participation of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind power generation in the proposed frequency regulation framework. An attempt has been carried out to study the impact of DFIG for the system dynamic responses. Maiden cascaded Tilt Integral - Tilt Derivative (TI-TD) controller is designed for the investigated system. A novel Opposition-Based Path Finder Algorithm (OPFA) is proposed for obtaining different optimal gain parameters of the intended controller. Comparison with some other controllers validate the efficacy of the designed controller. Finally the distinct improved results under random load perturbation demonstrate the effectiveness of the conceived approach.
