In this paper, designing and performance of a Smart Servo Controlled Automatic Voltage Stabilizer (SSCAVS) with upper and lower cutoff is discussed. In India transmission and distribution sectors are in development phase, therefore faults and fluctuations occur in supply system that causes severe disoperation of sensitive equipment such as computer, special electric motors, medical instruments etc. Voltage regulator currently available in market is costly and this research is based on providing cost effective and reliable smart automatic voltage stabilizer for the rural and urban consumers. In this work, SSCAVS is implemented for linear & nonlinear load and the fluctuation limit is obtained from 150 V to 270 V.
