The article analyzes the influence of the location of the ring magnet on the signal of reproduction of the magnetostrictive converter of linear or angular displacements. The object of development and research of this article is to study the influence of the magnetic field component along the axis of the ring magnet on the amplitude of the output signal of the magnetostrictive converter of linear or angular displacements in two variants of the location of the ring magnet, associated with the measured object. The considered variants include the location of the magnet's symmetry axis coinciding with the waveguide axis and the case when the magnet's axis does not coincide with the waveguide axis. Mathematical modeling has shown that the amplitude value of the playback signal from a linear amplifier when the axis of the ring magnet coincides with the waveguide axis is greater than when the axis of the ring magnet does not coincide with the waveguide axis. The measurement accuracy was evaluated. For conducting experiments, a device was assembled that allows changing the location of the magnet relative to the waveguide. The reliability of the obtained theoretical results is confirmed by experimental studies. The results obtained can be used in the design of various magnetic systems and, in particular, magnetic systems of magnetostrictive displacement transducers. Since ring permanent magnets are used in many devices and sensors, the information obtained in this article can be used in other industries.
