It is dealt with an advanced method of ultrasonic flaw detection which differs in that, in addition to the array of transducers in contact with the working surface of the object, one or more receiving transducers on the side surface of the object are additionally used. The method of arrangement of antenna arrays proposed in this work, can significantly improve the resolution, and in the case of using AR on the side surface of an object, it can obtain information for building a three-dimensional image of the internal structure of the object. To obtain a high resolution, an ultra-wideband sounding signal and an original signal processing algorithm are used, including summation, one-sided limitation and multiplication of received signals. The potential resolution of the method is estimated. Issues of practical application of the proposed method are considered.
