Battery capacity is very effective in determining therange of the electric vehicle. There are capacity differences between mass production lithium-basedcells. Due to the difference here, in a battery consisting of cells connected in series with each other, the voltage difference between them increases gradually at the end of each cycle. Therefore, some cells of the battery can be overcharged, and, as a result, burn the battery pack. Or, due to the low voltage of the cell in the package, serious capacity losses may occur in the battery. Using battery management can eliminate this situation. This poster mentions about designing process of active balancing battery management system.
