摘要

Surface engineering of battery cathode and anode materials is becoming an imperative for ushering in new materials and improving the bounds of performance while maintaining a high degree of safety. Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) provides not only a performance enhancing solution for enabling higher nickel cathodes but also for enabling transition metal tolerant graphite anodes with fast charge, long life capabilities at cost points well below competing technologies. ALD is both a performance and cost leader for surface engineering and coatings for battery cathode and anodes.
