摘要

The main and higher modes of a retarding system of the comb type with a double shifted system of ridges having a step equal to the period d and a smaller step d/2 are studied. Dispersion, coupling resistance, and losses for several modes are calculated. The structure has a strongly expressed multimode character. The system is convenient for changing the operating mode by changing the anode voltage (beam speed).
