The paper considers the scheme of a hybrid high-power multi-beam generator, where a virtual cathode appears in the region of the second gap under the action of the electromagnetic field of a double-gap resonator and a space charge. The dimensions of the resonator are selected in such a way that an in-phase (2-π) mode is excited in the passage of the electron flow. Due to the in-phase mode field action in the first gap, the electron flow is modulated. In this case, an unsteady virtual cathode is formed in the second gap, the oscillations of which occur with a frequency of the in-phase mode. As a result, on the space of parameters, the magnetic field induction - the electron beam current, a rather wide region is observed in which the oscillations are close to single-frequency. The efficiency in this area reaches 10.3%.
