An empirical Analysis of China's Environmental Regulation Based on Big Data

Resource consumption, ecological degradation and environmental pollution have become hot issues of widespread concern all over the world. Under the background of big data, it is of great practical significance and technical support to study the impact of environmental regulation on economic growth. This paper will use the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2005 to 2018 to conduct theoretical analysis and empirical test from the perspective of incentive mechanism. The results show that the design of incentive mechanism plays a positive role in guiding government governance and enterprise subject selection, and strengthening investment in environmental protection projects can promote economic growth in the long run. Therefore, to promote the positive role of environmental regulation on economic growth, we should strengthen the guiding role of government incentive environmental regulation and improve the content of positive incentive environmental regulation system.
