In this paper, the problem of agricultural product image recognition is studied. Due to the difficulty and time consuming in human eye identification of agricultural product image recognition, an algorithm of agricultural product image recognition based on edge calculation is proposed, which can be applied to the problem of agricultural product image recognition in traceability. Firstly, the advantages of edge calculation and image feature extraction methods are analyzed, and the layered discriminant analysis algorithm is proposed. The experimental results show that the layered discriminant analysis algorithm has high image recognition accuracy, reduces the response time of image recognition, and has better flexibility and practicability.
