In order to complete automatic unloading of a certain cylindrical product on the enterprise's automatic production line, a novel unloading device was proposed. According to working conditions and requirements of the enterprise, this work designed the mechanical structure of the device and introduced the basic characteristics and working principles of its components. The statics analysis and motion simulation analysis of the handling mechanism in the unloading device are carried out. The device can realize the transformation of cylindrical products from vertical posture to horizontal posture, achieve unloading of 500 products per minute, and ensure that products are arranged neatly. The key component of the handling mechanism can meet the strength requirements and the handling process is relatively stable, which verifies the rationality of its structure design.
