The auxiliary frequency regulation of the unit is a new measure to solve the safe and stable operation of the power grid after the large-scale clean energy supply is connected to the grid. Through R&D, the application of advanced control technology to increase the frequency regulation capacity of active thermal power units is an investment efficient method. Based on the calculation method of comprehensive frequency modulation capacity index of thermal power unit, the direction of improving frequency modulation performance of thermal power unit is proposed. This paper introduces the principle of a new cascade controller(NCC) based on inertial combinatorial filter, the engineering setting method of ncc controller and the application and actual operation result of the control system based on the power plant No.3,4.
