摘要

We have developed an automated procedure for generating a fully unified metric sizing field, provided only with a simple set of user defined sizing rules. We have demonstrated that this can be used to generate both structured and unstructured meshes on automatically generated partitions of the flow domain of several CFD test cases. Moreover, our sizing field can be used to ensure that the mesh element sizing varies smoothly across the junctions between partitions. This enables us to produce mesh which is highly suitable for CFD applications.
