The Wind Ramp Events (WREs) are the rare sudden deviations in wind speed that jeopardize the reliability of the power system integrated high penetration of renewables. This paper considers the WREs in a Stochastic Unit Commitment (SUC) to reach a resilient model. The Energy Storage Systems (ESSs) are providing the required re-dispatches for covering the WREs, while this application does not disrupt their original schedule. The compensation of ESSs has a fast dynamic and secures the power system against blackouts. Also, the proposed model uses regular generators to provide the reserves for addressing the fluctuations of wind power in the normal situation. The model minimizes both of energy and reserve costs in the day-ahead market. A decomposition method is used to reduce the complexity. The numerical result shows the model successfully covers the power imbalances in WREs, and also the optimal operation of in normal situation is guaranteed by deploying sufficient energy and reserves.
