1. Vacuum filters are used very widely in chemical, metallurgical and mining industry for recovering the final products (precipates, concentrates, valuable metals) 2. It has been estimated that about 2/3 of the operating costs of vacuum filters are caused by the energy required by the vacuum pump. 3. There are possibilities to improve the energy efficiency of vacuum filtration processes by utililizing modern measurement and process control technology.
