In the development of liquid rocket engines, stability tests are very significant because development costs can be reduced by expecting and protecting against combustion instability. Therefore, the objective of this study is to observe the effects of external excitation on the flame in a gas-centered swirl coaxial injector. A pulse gun using a piston is used to generate the single external excitation. To measure the dynamic characteristics such as combustion instability, a dynamic pressure transducer is used in the combustion chamber and pulse gun. Combustion instability can be confirmed when the pressure wave is inserted into the combustion chamber. To establish the dominant frequency, a Fast Fourier Transform is performed, and low frequency instability is detected in the case of the external excitation.
