摘要

The main aim of this paper concerns the fact that in order to guarantee the best possible flight trajectory prediction by the Flight Management Systems FMS, there is the need to create an original tool that can estimate the aerodynamic coefficients using the aircraft aerodynamic performances and parameters collected during the flight tests. This new tool will mostly use artificial intelligence methodologies in order to create an algorithm that can update the FMS database. This tool will allow to the update, if it is necessary, the FMS database in order to correct the actual error between the real and predicted trajectory. The database update will be focused on the fuel flow prediction and optimisation during the cruise. This correction will allow us in the future to make the best decision possible regarding the aircraft behaviour during flight. The research here presented was successfully validated using the Research Aircraft Flight Simulator Level D for the business aircraft Cessna Citation X designed and manufactured by CAE Inc.
